Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return. This form is used for taxpayers how made a mistake on their tax return or if they discovered that they did not report some taxable income on their return, claimed deductions or tax credits that they should not have claimed, failed to claim some tax deductions or tax credits they are entitled to, or should have used a different filing status on their tax return. This is considered to be an amended tax return.
