CBOT. An exchange where grain, gold, and Treasury Bond futures and options are traded. The CBOT is the oldest futures and options exchange in the world, and was founded in 1848. The exchange helped develop a standardized format for futures contracts in 1865. The CBOT was the first exchange to go public, and had their Initial Public Offering in 2005, listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2007, CBOT merged with CME to form CME Group.
