dealer paper

Commercial retail sales contracts issued by a company to a dealer that are then sold by the dealer to investors. The paper is a short-term debt security and will have a description of how a company may issue it. The method typically does not relate to small investors due to the large minimum of investment required, often $250,000 or more.
