Gini index

A measure of inequality of income in an economy, named after Italian statistician Corrado Gini. This numerical value between 0.0 (perfect income equality) and 1.0 (perfect inequality) tracks the extent to which a society's wealth is concentrated among a subset of the populace. Also called the Gini coefficient or index of concentration.
