It was formed in 2000 when the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Hong Kong Futures Exchanged Limited merged with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited. Pre-opening hours are from 9:30am-10am while actual trading hours are from 10am-4pm local time. In EST, this would be 8:30pm-9pm for pre-trading hours while hours of operation are from 9pm-3am.
