Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

An institution that was established in 1959 to enhance the growth of countries in the Caribbean and Latin America. The cooperative development bank has over 47 member countries, which includes the US and Europe, and it offers financial and technical assistance and helps devise developmental policies to increase free trade between the regions.
