Baby Berkshire

The nickname given to Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares after a 50:1 stock split in 2010. Prior to the split, the extremely high price of Berkshire Class B shares kept trading volume low, too low for the stock to be included in the S&P 500 index. The split put the stock in a more conventional price range and greatly increased trading volume.
