Basel Accords

Agreements set by the Basel Committee on Bank Supervision (BCBS) to ensure financial institutions are well capitalized to remain stable under unexpected losses and are always in a position to honor their obligations. The Accords provide guidelines to be followed for dealing with all the risks that financial institutions have to face.
