cabinet crowd

A specific subset of bond traders working at the New York Stock Exchange who are responsible for a small portion of the overall bond trading volume because they deal with infrequently traded securities. Bond prices for traders in the cabinet crowd tend to be worse than the prices of more actively traded bonds because the bid and ask spread is wider. opposite of active bond crowd.
