Eurocheque

The equivalent of a traveler's check issued in the euro currency. The check must be issued by a European bank and can be cashed at banks that display the "European Union" crest. Safety measures have been put in place to ensure that a holder can still retrieve the funds of a eurocheck should it be lost or stolen. The Eurocheque is no longer issued, as of 2002.
